The Galveston Bay Foundation (GBF) is entering the fourth year of its Rain Barrel Program. This program aims to educate the communities surrounding the Galveston Bay of the benefits of harvesting rainwater. It is a low maintenance, low cost method for easily conserving water at home.

The Grand's Season opener is featuring the Texas Tenors in Concert at its two shows on Saturday, September 10 at 3:00 and 8:00 p.m. Both shows are a part of live taping for a PBS Special to be launched in June at the same time the new Texas Tenor CD, Rise is set to be released this Spring.

As a premier entertainment showplace for acclaimed international stars, iconic American artists, and celebrated regional performers, The Grand 1894 Opera House continues to produce an annual performing arts season that delivers “living in the moment” entertainment experiences that capture the imagination of its audiences. Its 2016-2017 Performing Arts Season will include many such memorable events.
