In Texas out door weddings are quite popular. There are many venues you might seek out if you are planning a outdoor wedding. First would be the location of the celebration of your vows. Locations such as your backyard, a neighborhood or subdivision park, a local beach, or a popular city or state park are some options. In the Houston area there are many such places that are excellent for your outdoor wedding:

It is called, Memorial Park because in theory anyone can memorialize any relative or event and make a contribution to the beautification of the park.


Memorial Park’s entrance sign states it was “established in 1925,” although many newspapers say it was 1924 when the City of Houston took title to the land and established:   Memorial Park. According to Sarah H. Emmott in Memorial Park, A Priceless Legacy, Memorial Park is the largest urban park in Texas. It is much larger than New York’s Central Park. The land was bought and sold to the city at cost plus taxes, by Ima Hogg and her two brothers, Mike and Will.
