Fun Flamingo Fandango

About 100 named and costumed pink plastic yard flamingos are made into works of art by professional and amateur artists. Along with these flashy, feathery, fabulous and fancy flamingos will be a flock of 200 feathers-only ones for visitor photo opportunities.

Fun Flamingo Fandango (brilliant exploit) exhibit is opening on July 1, running the full month, in the South Texas Botanical Gardens & Nature Center. About 100 named and costumed pink plastic yard flamingos are made into works of art by professional and amateur artists. Along with these flashy, feathery, fabulous and fancy flamingos will be a flock of 200 feathers-only ones for visitor photo opportunities.

You are invited to the 2013 Flamingo Fandango Preview Party for flamingo creators, media, South Texas Botanical Gardens & Nature Center members and donors. It is Sunday, June 30 at the Gardens & Nature Center Grounds, 8545 S. Staples Street, Corpus Christi.

South Texas Botanical Gardens & Nature Center, on 180 acres and is located on the Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail.  While attending the Flamingo Fandango, enjoy the uniquely-designed gardens, including the:  Butterfly House, Bromeliad Conservatory, Plumeria Garden, Reptile House and Orchid House. You will now find an outdoor play area for children and education station.

Operating hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

Admission:

Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors and active military, $7 for middle and high school students and $3 for children ages 3-12. Children under 3 are admitted free.
