Bellingrath Gardens in Theodore, AL

May 6 is National Public Gardens Day

Want to get a behind-the-scenes look at how our Gardens grow? Join us on Friday, May 6, as we celebrate National Public Gardens Day with special Greenhouse Tours led by our Horticulture Management Team! We are excited to participate in this event, which promotes the important role of public gardens in environmental stewardship and awareness.

On May 6, our guests will find out how we grow our signature displays that provide beauty to more than 110,000 visitors every year. Four tours will be offered: A guided tour to the Bellingrath Greenhouses at 10 a.m., followed by a Garden Walk to discover our spring blooms at 11 a.m.; and a guided Greenhouse Tour at 2 p.m., followed by the Garden Walk at 3 p.m.

Join us on National Public Gardens Day as we celebrate the beautiful gardens created by Walter and Bessie Bellingrath 84 years ago. Before you arrive, be sure to visit www.NationalPublicGardensDay.org to download and print a coupon for a free Bellingrath souvenir book!
