Harvest Moon Regatta

Registration is now open for the 2017 Harvest Moon Regatta, says HMR Regatta Chair Paul Dunphey. The notice of race (NOR), registration link and other relevant information can be found at www.harvestmoonregatta.com.

LYC Fleet Captain Rex Bettis says, This 150-mile offshore regatta from Galveston to Port Aransas has become a favorite tradition among sailing enthusiasts.

With October weather in the forecast, Texas coastal offshore sailing is usually very favorable. It is not uncommon to race under a gorgeous moon reflecting off waters of the Gulf of Mexico. From a spectators' view, watch boats gather in front of Galveston's Pleasure Pier, and then drive down to Port Aransas to participate in the Harvest Moon Regatta activities.
